Pet Adjustment Process

It doesn't happen overnight!

The 3-3-3 rule is a general guideline to help new pet adopters understand the adjustment period their pet may go through after adoption.

Adjusting to a new environment takes time, patience and consistency;
especially animals who may have spent a long time at the shelter or with uncertain backgrounds.
