ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS

Before bringing a new pet into your home, it's important to have a conversation with all members of your household to ensure everyone is ready and supportive of the decision.To adopt, you must:

• Complete an adoption application
• Be 18 years of age or older
• Provide valid photo identification that includes your date of birth
• Ensure that any current pets are up to date on their rabies and distemper vaccinations
• If you rent, speak with your landlord in advance about their pet policies
  

ADOPTION APPLICATION PROCESS

1. Preview adoptable animals on the adoptable animals page.
2. Complete the adoption application.
   
3. ​Once your application is received our staff thoroughly reviews the information you provided.  Our goal is to process applications as quickly as possible. The time it takes depends on the number of applications we are working on. 
4. Once the review process is completed staff will contact you with the results. If your application is approved, one of our staff will contact you to schedule an appointment. You will meet the animal(s) you are interested in.
